Burry Port Town Band presents an evening of ‘Music from the Stage and Screen’ on Saturday 20th July at 7pm.
Burry Port Town Band are delighted to announce their summer concert in Burry Port’s Memorial Hall. Which this year will feature an evening of ‘Music from the Stage and Screen’ featuring the Senior Band, the ever growing Junior Band and a very special guest artist, Samuel Wyn-Morris.
Samuel Wyn Morris is a 22 year old Llanelli boy who is a former head boy of Ysgol Y Strade. In 2017, Samuel graduated from the prestigious Guildford School of Acting with a first class honours degree in musical theatre.
Since then, Samuel has continued to perform and made his professional debut at the Old Vic at the beginning of 2018. Samuel is a founder member of Loud Applause Rising Stars, the group set up to mentor and develop young talent in Wales.
While training at GSA he was one of the few chosen as a nominee for the Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship. In his graduating year Sam played leading roles in ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and ‘Forbidden Broadway’.
The Band’s Chairman, Mr Graham Howe added “The band are excited to present an evening of ‘Music from the Stage and Screen’ in Burry Port and we’re busy rehearsing a really entertaining programme for the concert which we hope our audience will thoroughly enjoy."
