Parc y Tywyn is a Welsh medium primary school. We cater for pupils between three and a half years of age and eleven. The children transfer at eleven to Ysgol y Strade.

The school originally opened its doors for the first time on the 4th of October 1965. This came after a period of much effort by some of the parents of Burry Port as well as the friends of the school. There is no doubt that without the hard work and commitment of these people there would be no provision of Welsh medium education in the area today. 49 children were registered on that first Monday morning at the Memorial Hall, before moving to the current building in 1972. Today there are over 240 pupils in the school.

There's lots to see on our web site; you can learn more about the school and its history, meet the staff, read about what’s going on and forthcoming events, a photo gallery, as well as important dates in the school calendar.
